The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) and the host East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC), observed Northwest Guilford's softball team prevail over East Surry by a tally of 20-10.

The Vikings (7-4) will now prepare for their bout against Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC). The Cowboys go into the non-league bout with a 1-5 record.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, April 23. East Surry will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 9-9 non-league Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).
