Mother McAuley Mighty Macs (Chicago, IL) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL), 4-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Mother McAuley upgrades its record to 6-8 on the year. The Mighty Macs host Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL) to play the Broncos in a GCAC- Red game on Wednesday, April 23. The Broncos enter the game with a record of 12-8. Montini Catholic won 5-2 in their recent non-league game against Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, IL)
The Redwings now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Lyons for a non-league game on Thursday, April 24. Benet Academy will play a Lions squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL). The Lions record now stands at 4-7.
