The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Clyde Fliers (Clyde, OH) and the visiting Shelby Whippets (Shelby, OH), observed Clyde's softball team get by Shelby by a tally of 7-1.

The Fliers (13-4) will now prepare for their bout against Perkins (Sandusky, OH). The Pirates go into the Sandusky Bay - Lake bout with a 6-7 record. In their last bout, Perkins got by South Central (Greenwich, OH), 19-4, in a non-league outing.

With the loss, Shelby moves to 11-6 on the season. The Whippets host River Valley (Caledonia, OH) to encounter the Vikings in a Mid Ohio Athletic outing on Tuesday, April 22. The Vikings come into the outing with a record of 11-3. River Valley lost 8-6 in their recent non-league outing against Lincoln (Gahanna, OH)
