The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Middletown South Eagles (Middletown, NJ) and the visiting Shore Regional Blue Devils (West Long Branch, NJ), observed Middletown South's softball team get by Shore Regional by a tally of 5-1.

The Eagles (6-1) will now prepare for their bout against Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ). The Huskies go into the non-league bout with a 3-4 record. In their last bout, Matawan Regional was routed by Old Bridge (Old Bridge, NJ), 9-6, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs (Rumson, NJ) in a Shore - A Central bout, on Tuesday, April 22. Shore Regional will attempt to advance on its 6-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Marlboro (Marlboro, NJ).
