Connecticut High School Softball - Portland topped by Valley Regional

Valley Regional Warriors (Deep River, CT) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT), 13-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Valley Regional improves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Warriors host Hale Ray (Moodus, CT) to play the Noises in a Shoreline - Large game on Friday, April 25. The Noises enter the game with a record of 8-1. Hale Ray won 1-0 in their recent league game against Haddam-Killingworth (Higganum, CT)

The Highlanders now hold a 2-5 record. They play next when they host North Branford for a Shoreline - Large game on Wednesday, April 23. Portland will play a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Cromwell (Cromwell, CT). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 6-0.
