Illinois High School Softball - Brown County edges Mendon Unity

The Brown County Hornets softball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Mendon Unity Mustangs to 1 in the Hornets non-league win on Tuesday.

The Hornets now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hamilton/Warsaw for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 22. Brown County will confront a Titans team coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Canton (Canton, IL). The Titans record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Mendon Unity moves to 1-9 on the season. The Mustangs host Liberty (Liberty, IL) to confront the Eagles in a West Central battle on Friday, April 24. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 13-2. Liberty won 9-5 in their recent non-league battle against Quincy (Quincy, IL)
