Kansas High School Softball - Mt. Vernon bounces Riverton

April 21, 2026: Riverton, KS 66770

In Tuesday's non-league bout, the visiting Mt. Vernon Mountaineers softball team scored a nice 13-3 victory over the Riverton Rams.

The Mountaineers (21-5) will now prepare for their bout against Skyline (Urbana, MO). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 19-0 record. In their last bout, Skyline knocked off Lincoln (Lincoln, MO), 10-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Rams clash with the Liberal Bulldogs (Liberal, MO) in a non-league bout, on Friday, April 24. Riverton will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 16-6 non-league win over Midway (Cleveland, MO).
