The Metamora Redbirds baseball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Peoria Notre Dame Irish to 6 in the Redbirds non-league victory on Friday.
The Redbirds (11-3) will now prepare for their match against Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL). The Knights go into the non-league match with a 2-7 record. In their last match, Fieldcrest was overwhelmed by Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL), 7-0, in a league match.
The Irish (2-7) will now prepare for their match against Bloomington (Bloomington, IL). The Purple Raiders go into the Big Twelve match with a 13-4 record. In their last match, Bloomington edged Centennial (Champaign, IL), 13-3, in a league match.
