Illinois High School Baseball - Salt Fork loses to Oakwood

The Oakwood Comets baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Salt Fork Storm to 4 in the Comets league victory on Friday.

The Comets (9-8) will now prepare for their match against Schlarman (Danville, IL). The Hilltoppers go into the Vermilion Valley match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, Schlarman was overwhelmed by Iroquois West (Gilman, IL), 13-3, in a league match.

The Storm (8-7) will now prepare for their match against Cissna Park (Cissna Park, IL). The Timberwolves go into the Vermilion Valley match with a 4-8 record. In their last match, Cissna Park gained a win over Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman (Georgetown, IL), 3-2, in a non-league match.
