Illinois High School Softball - Arcola bounces Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]

Arcola Purple Riders (Arcola, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Titans (Kansas, IL), 9-2 in a league challenge.

The Purple Riders now own a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edwards County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 23. Arcola will face a Lions squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Fairfield (Fairfield, IL). The Lions record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Okaw Valley (Bethany, IL) to face the Timberwolves in a Lincoln Prairie challenge on Monday, April 25. The Timberwolves enter the challenge with a record of 4-12. Okaw Valley lost 9-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Westville (Westville, IL)
