Hedgesville Eagles (Hedgesville, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Pendleton County Wildcat (Franklin, WV), 14-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Hardy for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. Hedgesville will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 11-2 non-league win over Southern (Oakland, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Pendleton County falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Wildcat travel to Keyser (Keyser, WV) to battle the Golden Tornado in a Western Maryland challenge on Monday, April 25. The Golden Tornado enter the challenge with a record of 24-3. Keyser won 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Mount de Sales Academy (Catonsville, MD)
