Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Rangers (Eastlake, OH), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Steele for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 23.

With the loss, North falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to South (Willoughby, OH) to clash with the Rebels in a Western Reserve game on Saturday, April 23. The Rebels come into the game with a record of 3-5.
