The Phillips Loggers softball team scored 10 runs and limited the host Newman Fighting Cardinals to 0 in the Loggers non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Phillips moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Loggers travel to Chequamegon (Park Falls, WI) to clash with the Screaming Eagles in a Marawood game on Tuesday, April 26. The Screaming Eagles come into the game with a record of 0-0.
In their next game, the Fighting Cardinals clash with the Auburndale Apaches (Auburndale, WI) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 26. Newman will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
