The Queen Anne's County Lions (Centreville, MD) softball nipped the host St. Michaels Saints (St. Michaels, MD), 5-4 in Friday's league bout.
The Lions (9-4) will now prepare for their bout against North Dorchester (Hurlock, MD). The Eagles go into the Bayside - North bout with a 4-1 record. In their last bout, North Dorchester held off Cambridge-South Dorchester (Cambridge, MD), 14-4, in a league bout.
The Saints now possess a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to North Caroline for a Bayside - North bout on Monday, April 25. St. Michaels will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Indian River (Dagsboro, DE). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-4.
