The Valley Christian Defenders crushed the host Artesia Pioneers baseball team by a count of 10-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Defenders now possess a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage Christian for a Olympic bout on Tuesday, April 25. Valley Christian will face a Warriors team coming off a 17-0 league loss to Maranatha (Pasadena, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-15.
Next, the Pioneers face the Glenn Eagles (Norwalk, CA) in a 605 bout, on Tuesday, April 25. Artesia will attempt to move on its 8-13 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 5-10 record after their 6-3 league loss to Pioneer (Whittier, CA).
