Greenwood Gators (Bowling Green, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Assumption Rockets (Louisville, KY), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Gators now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host Warren Central for a District 14 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Greenwood will face a Dragons squad coming off a 24-4 non-league win over Fort Knox (Fort Knox, KY). The Dragons record now stands at 5-10.

With the loss, Assumption falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Sacred Heart (Louisville, KY) to face the Valkyries in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 24. The Valkyries enter the challenge with a record of 4-11.
