Riverside Panthers (Decaturville, TN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Brighton Cardinals (Brighton, TN), 10-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Henry County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 22. Riverside will face a Patriots squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over McKenzie (McKenzie, TN). The Patriots record now stands at 14-2.

With the loss, Brighton falls to 12-9 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Covington (Covington, TN) to face the Chargers in a 3A District 14 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 4-9. Covington lost 5-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Camden Central (Camden, TN)
