The crowd at Saturday's league match between the Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) and the host Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL), saw Champaign Central's softball squad achieve victory over Peoria by a count of 20-1.

The Maroons now sport a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Joseph-Ogden for a non-league match on Wednesday, April 26.

With the loss, Peoria falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Lions host Richwoods (Peoria, IL) to face the Knights in a Big Twelve match on Tuesday, April 25. The Knights enter the match with a record of 0-7. Richwoods lost 18-8 in their recent non-league match against Morton (Morton, IL)
