New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Chesterton Trojans (Chesterton, IN), 15-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mishawaka Marian for a Northern Indiana challenge on Monday, April 24. New Prairie will face a Knights squad coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Michigan City (Michigan City, IN). The Knights record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Chesterton falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to La Porte (La Porte, IN) to face the Slicers in a Duneland challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Slicers enter the challenge with a record of 6-7. La Porte lost 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Portage (Portage, IN)
