The Cumberland Clippers softball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Westerly Bulldogs to 4 in the Clippers non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Cumberland improves its record to 4-4 on the year. The Clippers travel to Prout (Wakefield, RI) to clash with the Crusaders in a game on Monday, April 24. The Crusaders come into the game with a record of 1-6. Prout lost 6-3 in their recent league game against Cranston West (Cranston, RI)
In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a Division 2 game, on Tuesday, April 25. Westerly will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Chieftains come into the game with a 5-2 record after their 8-4 non-league win over Burrillville (Harrisville, RI).
