California High School Softball - Scripps Ranch gets by Grossmont

April 22, 2023: El Cajon, CA 92021

Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Scripps Ranch Falcons (San Diego, CA) and the host Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA), witnessed Scripps Ranch's softball squad tip Grossmont by a count of 4-3.

The Falcons now sport a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to Patrick Henry for a City Western match on Tuesday, April 25. Scripps Ranch will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Santana (Santee, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 10-9.

With the loss, Grossmont moves to 6-11 on the season. The Foothillers host Valhalla (El Cajon, CA) to meet the Norsemen in a Grossmont Valley match on Wednesday, April 26. The Norsemen go into the match with a record of 9-9. Valhalla won 14-0 in their recent league match against Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA)
