The Hinsdale South Hornets nipped the visiting Plainfield Central Wildcats softball squad by a final score of 4-3 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Hornets (2-9) will now prepare for their battle against Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL). The Mustangs go into the West Suburban - Gold battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Berwyn/Cicero Morton was edged by IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL), 11-0, in a non-league battle.

The Wildcats now possess a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Minooka for a Suburban Prairie - South battle on Monday, April 24. Plainfield Central will confront a Indians squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL). The Indians record now stands at 8-10.
