Trimble Tomcats (Glouster, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH), 15-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Tomcats now own a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they host Miller for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. Trimble will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to Fisher Catholic (Lancaster, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Alexander falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Athens (The Plains, OH) to battle the Bulldogs in a Tri-Valley - Ohio challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 9-4. Athens won 9-7 in their recent league challenge against River Valley (Bidwell, OH)
