The Altamont Indians triumphed over the visiting Neoga Indians softball squad by a count of 16-1 in Monday's league challenge.
Next, the Indians play the Effingham Flaming Hearts (Effingham, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 23. Altamont will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Flaming Hearts enter the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 7-1 non-league loss to Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL).
The Indians (1-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Tuscola (Tuscola, IL). The Warriors enter the non-league challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, Tuscola overcame Sullivan (Sullivan, IL), 10-8, in a non-league challenge.
