The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL) and the host Collinsville Kahoks (Collinsville, IL), observed Southwestern's softball team get by Collinsville by a tally of 10-5.

The Piasa Birds (10-11) will now prepare for their bout against North Mac (Virden, IL). The Panthers go into the South Central bout with a 11-7 record. In their last bout, North Mac tipped Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL), 5-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Kahoks battle the Edwardsville Tigers (Edwardsville, IL) in a Southwestern bout, on Tuesday, April 23. Collinsville will attempt to advance on its 4-15 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Mater Dei (Breese, IL).
