The Lexington Minutemen softball team scored 22 runs and held the visiting Fieldcrest Knights to 2 in the Minutemen league win on Monday.

The Minutemen now sport a 11-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Prairie Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 23. Lexington will encounter a Hawks team coming off a 17-1 league win over Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 11-11.

With the loss, Fieldcrest moves to 1-9 on the season. The Knights travel to Eureka (Eureka, IL) to encounter the Hornets in a Heart of Illinois battle on Tuesday, April 23. The Hornets come into the battle with a record of 4-15. Eureka won 4-1 in their recent league battle against Fisher (Fisher, IL)
