Mt. Carmel Golden Aces (Mt. Carmel, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Grayville Bison (Grayville, IL), 21-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Aces now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Newton for a Little Illini challenge on Tuesday, April 23. Mt. Carmel will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Richland County (Olney, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 18-5.

With the loss, Grayville falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Bison travel to Waltonville (Waltonville, IL) to battle the Spartans in a challenge on Wednesday, April 24. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 14-7. Waltonville won 10-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Okawville (Okawville, IL)
