The North Mac Panthers softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Jacksonville Crimsons to 3 in the Panthers non-league win on Monday.

The Panthers now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southwestern for a South Central battle on Tuesday, April 23. North Mac will encounter a Piasa Birds team coming off a 10-5 non-league win over Collinsville (Collinsville, IL). The Piasa Birds record now stands at 10-11.

With the loss, Jacksonville moves to 6-11 on the season. The Crimsons host MacArthur (Decatur, IL) to encounter the Generals in a Central State Eight battle on Tuesday, April 23. The Generals come into the battle with a record of 5-11. MacArthur lost 19-1 in their recent non-league battle against Champaign Central (Champaign, IL)
