The Kelliher/Northome Mustangs softball team scored 22 runs and limited the visiting Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves to 12 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Kelliher/Northome moves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league game on Monday, May 6. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 4-7.

In their next game, the Wolves clash with the Laporte Wildcats (Laporte, MN) in a Upper Mississippi game, on Thursday, April 25. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 3-1 record after their 18-1 league win over Cass Lake-Bena (Cass Lake, MN).
