Linton-Stockton Miners (Linton, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northview Knights (Brazil, IN), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Miners now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clay City for a Southwestern Indiana challenge on Tuesday, April 23. Linton-Stockton will face a Eels squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over North Knox (Bicknell, IN). The Eels record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Northview falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Indian Creek (Trafalgar, IN) to face the Braves in a Western Indiana challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 6-4. Indian Creek won 16-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Edinburgh (Edinburgh, IN)
