The Maple Grove Crimson routed the host Wayzata Trojans softball squad by a count of 11-1 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Crimson (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Elk River (Elk River, MN). The Elks go into the Northwest Suburban battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Elk River Mayo (Rochester, MN), 5-5, in a non-league battle.
The Trojans now sport a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Edina for a Lake battle on Tuesday, April 23. Wayzata will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Buffalo (Buffalo, MN). The Hornets record now stands at 3-3.
