In Monday's league match, the visiting Moses Brown Quakers softball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the St. Mary Academy-Bay View Bengals.
The Quakers (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Cumberland (Cumberland, RI). The Clippers go into the Division 1 (State) match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, Cumberland tipped East Providence (East Providence, RI), 14-4, in a league match.
In their next game, the Bengals battle the Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI) in a Division 1 (State) match, on Wednesday, April 24. St. Mary Academy-Bay View will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Patriots go into the match with a 4-3 record after their 2-1 league loss to North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI).
