In Monday's non-league bout, the host Pawnee Indians softball team scored a tight 6-5 victory over the Staunton Bulldogs.
The Indians (9-5) will now prepare for their bout against Illini Central (Mason City, IL). The Cougars go into the non-league bout with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) in a South Central bout, on Tuesday, April 23. Staunton will attempt to advance on its 11-4 season record. The Hiltoppers go into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 10-5 league loss to Greenville (Greenville, IL).
