In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting Alexander Central Cougars baseball team scored a close 4-0 win over the St. Stephens Indians.
The Cougars (14-8) will now prepare for their game against Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Red Tornadoes go into the non-league game with a 13-7 record. In their last game, Hickory nudged Newton-Conover (Newton, NC), 7-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Indians play the Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, April 23. St. Stephens will attempt to improve on its 12-7 season record. The Red Devils go into the game with a 12-6 record after their 9-3 non-league win over Foard (Newton, NC).
