The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs baseball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Asheville Cougars to 1 in the Chiefs non-league win on Tuesday.
The Chiefs now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Porter Ridge for a non-league test on Friday, April 25. North Myrtle Beach will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD). The Pirates record now stands at 9-11.
With the defeat, Asheville drops to 13-5 on the year. The Cougars travel to PikeView (Princeton, WV) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 23. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 10-5. PikeView lost 18-10 in their recent league test against Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV)
