The crowd at Tuesday's non-league battle between the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) and the host Cedar Creek Cougars (Ruston, LA), saw St. Edmund's baseball team get by Cedar Creek by a tally of 5-4.
The Fighting Blue Jays (18-15) will now prepare for their battle against Vermilion Catholic (Abbeville, LA). The Eagles enter the non-league battle with a 21-7 record. In their last battle, Vermilion Catholic held off Carencro (Lafayette, LA), 11-6, in a non-league battle.
