The Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN) baseball got by the visiting Kennett Indians (Kennett, MO), 6-5 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Choctaws now own a 13-9 record. They take the field next when they host South Gibson for a 3A District 13 challenge on Wednesday, April 23. Dyer County will clash with a Hornets team coming off a 5-2 league win over Crockett County (Alamo, TN). The Hornets record now stands at 22-5.

With the defeat, Kennett drops to 6-7 on the year. The Indians travel to Notre Dame (Cape Girardeau, MO) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 23. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 6-9. Notre Dame lost 14-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Valle Catholic (Ste. Genevieve, MO)
