North Carolina High School Baseball - First Flight holds off Whiteville

In Tuesday's non-league game, the host First Flight Nighthawks baseball team scored a close 9-5 victory over the Whiteville Wolfpack.
The Nighthawks (13-7) will now prepare for their game against Northern Nash (Rocky Mount, NC). The Knights enter the non-league game with a 7-10 record. In their last game, Northern Nash was overwhelmed by Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC), 4-3, in a non-league game.
Next, the Wolfpack face the South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC) in a Waccamaw 1A/2A game, on Tuesday, April 29. Whiteville will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Stallions enter the game with a 15-3 record after their 10-9 non-league win over Overhills (Spring Lake, NC).
