The Eastern Mennonite Flames soccer squad scored 9 points and held the visiting Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks to 1 in the Flames league victory on Tuesday.
The Flames now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Chatham Hall for a bout on Friday, April 25. Eastern Mennonite will play a Turtles squad coming off a 10-1 league loss to Carlisle (Axton, VA). The Turtles record now stands at 0-7.
With the loss, Miller School of Albemarle moves to 1-5 on the year. The Mavericks host Bath County (Hot Springs, VA) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Friday, April 25. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Bath County 2-2 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA)
