In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Knott County Central Patriots softball team scored a nice 13-0 win over the Barbourville Tigers.
The Patriots (4-11) will now prepare for their match against Cordia (Hazard, KY). The Lions come into the District 53 match with a 0-10 record. In their last match, Cordia was routed by Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY), 17-2, in a league match.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY) in a non-league match, on Thursday, April 24. Barbourville will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the match with a 4-11 record after their 9-6 league loss to Middlesboro (Middlesboro, KY).
