In Tuesday's league match, the host Cannon Falls Bombers softball team scored a tight 8-6 win over the Lake City Tigers.
The Bombers (7-1) will now prepare for their match against Stewartville (Stewartville, MN). The Tigers come into the Hiawatha Valley match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, Stewartville nipped Lourdes (Rochester, MN), 8-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Lourdes Eagles (Rochester, MN) in a Hiawatha Valley match, on Thursday, April 24. Lake City will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 2-5 record after their 8-0 league loss to Stewartville (Stewartville, MN).
