In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Deuel Cardinals softball team scored a tight 8-5 win over the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers.
The Cardinals (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Redfield (Redfield, SD). The Pheasants come into the Class B match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Redfield was routed by Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD), 15-10, in a league match.
In their next game, the Tigers confront the Chamberlain Cubs (Chamberlain, SD) in a Class A match, on Thursday, April 24. Mobridge-Pollock will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Cubs come into the match with a 0-5 record after their 18-3 league loss to Winner (Winner, SD).
