The Douglass Indians softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Slocum Mustangs to 4 in the Indians non-league win on Tuesday.
The Indians now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Latexo for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 24. Douglass will confront a Tigers team coming off a 13-1 league win over Normangee (Normangee, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 13-6.
With the loss, Slocum moves to 15-7 on the season. The Mustangs host Apple Springs (Apple Springs, TX) to confront the Eagles in a non-league battle on Thursday, April 24. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 8-14. Apple Springs won 14-9 in their recent league battle against Wells (Wells, TX)
