The Morgan Township Cherokees triumphed over the visiting Victory Christian Academy Lions softball squad by a count of 17-2 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Cherokees play the Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 24. Morgan Township will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Fighting 59ers enter the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 13-3 league win over Highland (Highland, IN).

The Lions (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Calumet Christian (Griffith, IN). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
