Illinois High School Softball - Newark bested by Morris

The Morris Redskins triumphed over the host Newark Norsemen softball squad by a count of 13-3 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Redskins play the Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL) in a Interstate Eight challenge, on Wednesday, April 23. Morris will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Sycamore (Sycamore, IL).

The Norsemen (9-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Maple Leafs enter the non-league challenge with a 16-6 record. In their last challenge, Geneseo overcame Alleman (Rock Island, IL), 5-3, in a league challenge.
