In Saturday's non-league game, the host Blackhawk Cougars baseball team scored a tight 11-7 victory over the Hopewell Vikings.

The Cougars (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA). The Quakers go into the WPIAL 4A 2 game with a 4-4 record. In their last game, Quaker Valley tipped New Castle (New Castle, PA), 4-1, in a league game.
