In Saturday's non-league game, the host Valparaiso Vikings baseball team scored a tight 14-7 victory over the Griffith Panthers.
The Vikings (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Crown Point (Crown Point, IN). The Bulldogs go into the Duneland game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Crown Point was overwhelmed by La Porte (La Porte, IN), 4-3, in a league game.
The Panthers (6-4) will now prepare for their game against Illiana Christian (Dyer, IN). The Vikings go into the Greater Southshore game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, Illiana Christian tipped Lowell (Lowell, IN), 10-0, in a non-league game.
