The Coronado Islanders volleyball team (Coronado, CA), was nudged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Granite Hills Eagles (El Cajon, CA)

The Eagles (18-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA). The Monarchs enter the Grossmont Valley challenge with a 4-18 record. In their last challenge, Monte Vista was nudged by Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Islanders encounter the Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 27. Coronado will attempt to move on its 11-24 season record. The Foothillers enter the challenge with a 17-8 record after their 3-2 league loss to Helix (La Mesa, CA).
