Kirtland Hornets (Kirtland, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bristol Panthers (Bristolville, OH), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wickliffe for a Chagrin Valley - Valley challenge on Sunday, April 24. Kirtland will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 15-12 league loss to West Geauga (Chesterland, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Bristol falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Mathews (Vienna, OH) to face the Mustangs in a Northeastern Athletic challenge on Sunday, April 24. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Mathews lost 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Jackson-Milton (North Jackson, OH)
