Illinois High School Softball - Normal University can't hold off Charleston

The Charleston Trojans softball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Normal University Pioneers to 5 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Charleston improves its record to 13-3 on the year. The Trojans travel to Metamora (Metamora, IL) to clash with the Redbirds in a non-league game on Saturday, April 23. The Redbirds come into the game with a record of 12-3. Metamora lost 5-3 in their recent non-league game against Tremont (Tremont, IL)
In their next game, the Pioneers clash with the Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 25. Normal University will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Purple Raiders come into the game with a 11-4 record after their 12-0 league win over Richwoods (Peoria, IL).
